Neuropsychological Evaluations
A neuropsychological evaluation is a tool to discover areas of strength and weakness in your thinking skills.
The evaluation measures areas such as:
It is an in-depth look into how your brain functions on a day-to-day basis. It consists of a series of short tests that help us to understand the changes you are experiencing and determines what the potential cause of these changes could be. The diagnoses and recommendations that are generated as a result of the evaluation allow your treatment team to better understand why you are having difficulty in specific areas and the types of interventions and treatments that may be effective given your strengths and weaknesses. Neuropsychological evaluations are provided for individuals 6+.

Concerns that often lead to a referral for testing:
- Short-term memory loss
- Distractibility and inattentiveness
- Executive-functioning weaknesses such as difficulty planning or organizing
- Processing speed deficits
- Word-finding problems and language changes
- Visual-spatial and fine motor deficits
- Intellectual disability
- Mood and personality changes
- Behavior difficulties
- Deficits in functioning secondary to a neurological condition
- Confusion and disorientation
- Increased irritability, frustration, and loss of motivation
Common Disorders:
- Dementia
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinson's Disease
- Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder
- Emotional or Mood Disorders
